Oh god. Your post has terrified me. I think I had better just not think about this stuff yet. I think, instead of thinking about this stuff, I’m going to have a nice lie down, and maybe watch some TV until I stop feeling dizzy. Yes. That’s what I’ll do. Everything is fine.

It turns out that the college realised (shockingly) that too many people were unhappy about the decision and they have revised their plans! Back to a 9am start next year! We’ll spend next year “in consultation” with the college heads and see where 2009 leads us. My profs lecturer came over for a coffee last night (as one does, dahlink) and told me, and I admit I jumped up and down and clapped my hands.

Is there a union for students - not the place that you all go drinking but you know, one of those places where, if say you’re a postal worker, you just walk out for two days each week every week for a month and then wonder why the world and his wife don’t give a stuff what you get paid and just want their mail delivered on time, especially when it contains expensive birthday presents(but that’s just my rant) Anyway if there isn’t you should form one, and run a demonstration. Also do you know any law students…and you could combine with the staff…and write to Aunty Helen and your local MP and basically stir as much as possible - talk to John Campbell and become…wait for it…World Famous in New Zealand

So they’re doing it up there too? What a ridiculous setup. I’m working hard on getting my classmates to email the head of the college, but right now I’m not feeling very optimistic. I saw one of my lecturers yesterday whose daughter is going to school with Ethan, and she is PISSED. But staff’s opinions don’t count because, uh, do you want to get paid?

Hey, the first years in my college are peeved about it too. They have to be at uni from 8.30 to 6.30 at night, which is totally not acceptable if the college wants to suggest it’s working for the students, not against them. It’s appalling!
